This is a museum quality replica of the
Atlantic. A spectacular handcrafted wooden model
ship mounted on a wooden stand. The ship comes
safely packed in "down mast - down sail"
condition. It is ready for quick and easy
assembly.
It is a very large model ship and is available
in models 28" long, 33" long and 44" long.
History of the Atlantic
Built for Wilson Marshall, Atlantic's greatest
claim to fame came in 1905 when she was one of
eleven yachts to compete for the Emperor's Cup
put up by Kaiser Wilhelm for a race between New
York and Lizard Head, England.
Sold to James Cox Bradley, the Atlantic saw duty
as a sub chaser tender, and after World War I
she was sold to Cornelius Vanderbilt
